Walnutter Breakfast Bowl
One of the best healthy breakfasts you can eat

  • 1/2 cup Organic Australian rolled oats

  • 1 cup water or Walnutter Walnut Milk* or other milk of your choice

  • Sprinkle of Tasman Sea Salt

  • Big spoonful of Walnutter Walnut Butter of your choice

  • Handful of fresh local berries or stone fruit (preferably organic)

  1. Add oats, water or milk and salt to a pot over medium/high heat.

  2. Bring mixture to boil, reduce heat and continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes; stirring occasionally.

  3. Your porridge is ready when the oats have soaked up most of the liquid and are creamy. Transfer to a bowl.

  4. Add your favourite Walnutter Butter (Natural, Honey or Toffee) on top of your oats and serve with blueberries or other fresh fruit.

To make old-fashioned oats in the microwave:

Add 1/2 cup oats and 3/4 cup liquid (water or milk) into a microwave-safe bowl and stir to combine. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir and continue to microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each, until the oats are at the consistency you like. You’ll know it’s done when most of the liquid is absorbed and the oats are hot - usually 3mins.

Carefully remove from microwave (bowl will be hot) and top with your favorite Walnutter Butter and fruit.

You can also eat your oats uncooked - a Bircher style!

Soak your oats in your preferred choice of milk overnight and the next morning they will be creamy delicious ... and ready for breakfast!

This is truly one of the best breakfasts you can eat. There are so many health benefits! Oats are a whole grain, low in saturated fat, low in cholesterol, naturally gluten-free and a good source of fiber, thiamin, magnesium, phosphorus and manganese. The soluble fiber in oats can also help lower cholesterol levels and reduce risk of cardiovascular disease. Plus, with the added benefits of walnuts you're getting plant omegas, good healthy fats and a range of vitamins and minerals too.

The healthiest Walnutter Butter is 'Natural' - 100% premium Tasmanian Walnuts blended with a pinch of Tassie Sea Salt.
