Walnutter Walnut Milk
Paleo, vegan and so simple.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Walnutter Walnut Kernels

  • 3.5 cups cups filtered water

  • 1/4 teaspoon organic cinnamon

  • Dash of organic vanilla (optional)

  • Sprinkle Tasman Sea Salt (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon organic raw coconut sugar
    OR organic, raw bush honey to taste (optional but delicious!)

     

Method
 

  1. Using a glass bowl soak the walnuts in filtered water. Leave them for at least a few hours to soften them (soaking them overnight is best)*.
     

  2. Strain and rinse walnuts with fresh water.
     

  3. Add walnuts to blender with water and cinnamon with any additional 'optional' ingredients like honey. 
     

  4. Blend walnuts on high for 1 minute.
     

  5. Strain through nut milk bag and squeeze (there should be minimal pulp with walnuts).
     

  6. Store in a glass jar, bottle or jug and keep refrigerated for 3-4 days.
     

  7. ENJOY! :)

 

* You can blend without soaking the nuts but they will be a little harder during the blending process. Soaking for 6-8 hours gives the best result.
